Through these notifications, DEE Assam invites online applications through the website dee.assam.gov.in for 3800 Assistant Teacher Posts in Lower Primary (LP) Schools and 1755 Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher in Upper primary (UP) Schools.

Interested & Eligible Indian Citizens who are permanent residents of Assam and Qualified Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply for this vacancy from 02 January to 02 February 2024.

- Assistant Teacher of LP Schools: 3800 Posts
- Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher of UP Schools: 3800 Posts.
DEE Assam will notify district-wise, medium-wise and category-wise break-up of vacancies for all categories i.e. OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PwD/Women/Ex-Servicemen etc. in due course of time.

Essential Educational Qualification of DEE Assam Recruitment 2024 for UP & LP Teacher:
Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School:
An ATET or CTET Qualified candidate should have done Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with
at least 50% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed..
Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary School:
An ATET or CTET Qualified candidate should have done Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and Graduate from the UGC recognized University And 2-year D.El.Ed. OR B.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
Non-Essential qualification:
NCC certificate, participation/ achievement in recognized sports or Fine Arts and Cultural Activities at National level or beyond representing State or Nation.
There will be marks for Essential and Non-essential qualifications. You can check them in detail through notification.
Selection Process:
Selection will be done strictly on merit as per reservation. Merit List will be separate for each district and category.
Assam UP & LP Teacher Pay Scale:
Candidate will be given salary as per Pay Scale Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”.

No offline applications will be accepted. Eligible candidates can submit online form from 02 January 2024 onwords. The last date to apply is 02 February 2024 up to 10:00 pm. Online Application and candidate’s documents will be verified through digilocker for ensuring genuineness as well as by way of back-office verification with the competent board/ council/ authority or by physical document verification at any point of time.

ii. HSLC Admit Card.
iii. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.

vi. DElEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.

Important points for DEE Assam UP & LP Teacher Recruitment 2024:
- Regular Teachers already working in Lower Primary Schools under DEE, Assam are not allowed to apply in any posts in LP Schools. Similarly, those who are working in Upper Primary Schools, are not allowed to apply in any posts in UP Schools.
