A newly appointed clerk gets in the pay scale of 5200-20200+1900 (Grade pay) Pre revised now Functional Pay Level 2
FPL Rs 19900-63200.

The basic pay keep increasing every year. The maximum basic pay that can be drawn on this post is 63200. After few years of service, clerk gets promoted to higher post depending on department.
